Crossing Off the Days

I'm one of those people who likes making lists, mostly for the instant gratification of crossing things off.  Sending an email at 10:37 when theres a paper and two homework assignments (none of which I've begun) due at midnight might not seem like the best use of my time, but if I can take it off the list? Well thats just 25% less work for me to do. If I had put "make a list of things to do" as number 1 I'm closing in on half way.

Needless to say, I've been making a lot of lists lately. Things to buy, clothes to pack, trips to plan, and favorite foods I want my mom to cook before I leave (cough KEY LIME PIE cough) are scribbled on scraps of paper laying around the house. One recent addition to the collection is my Semester at Sea bucket list. Written with the help of a few friends, heres some of the highlights:

2. riding a camel and sleeping overnight in the Moroccan desert

4. get an authentic Turkish bath

5. eat REAL pizza in Naples

7. nighttime gondola ride in Venice

8. birthday celebrations with Georgie and Korina in Athens!

10. drink "hot chocolate" (basically a glorified pure melted chocolate bar) in Croatia
12. get straight A's in all our classes...

13. sleep on the deck of the MV Explorer and watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean

And, this one's for you Alex,

We'll see what else gets added to the list by the end of the summer, and of course, how many get crossed off. Suggestions? You've got five days to send them my way!

  1. i am beyond jealous of your trip and it sounds like even if you accomplish half of the things on your list you will have the time of your life! <3 chelsea
